The 2023 Holiday Gala Details are coming....but the date is set for Saturday December 2.
Friday evening, December 9th 2022 THIS YEAR'S PHOTO ALBUM
Below is the information shared for members to register etc! Oh, come all ye CRA faithful, and celebrate the Holiday Season with members and guests. Join us as we gather once again at La Playa Hotel on December 9, 2022, for an evening of food, wine, and amazing company. Live background music will also help set the mood. Reception: Mix and mingle with fellow members beginning with check-in at 5:30 pm. The Cocktail Hour begins at 5:30 pm on the Pacific Terrace where complimentary red and white wines will be served throughout the reception and dinner. For those who prefer a cocktail, a Cash Bar will also be available on the Pacific Terrace. For those who have more elaborate tastes or prefer Credit Card payment Bud's Bar will also be open for business. Dining: Most dining tables will be hosted by one of your welcoming CRA Board Members. Dinner will begin at 6:30 pm in the Pacific Room with a special holiday salad – A colorful beet salad with oranges, pickled onions served on sweet gem lettuce with balsamic dressing and goat cheese. Followed by your Main Dish Choice: 1. Roasted Chicken, served with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms and marbled mashed potatoes 2. Alaska Salmon, served atop a bed of Israeli couscous, seasonal vegetables, light harissa sauce, and blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes 3. Mushroom Risotto, with blend of wild mushrooms, roasted Gilroy garlic and fresh herbs Concluding with your Desert Choice and Coffee: A. Lemon meringue tart Dress Code?? Many of you have asked about the dress recommendations for our evening. Holiday attire is suggested (some sparkles or holiday sweaters maybe). But of course, we do live in a beach town - so most anything goes. Seating Arrangements?? There are no reserved seats, other than the 1 CRA Board Member at any one table. Of course, this is a great gathering to get to learn more about and make new friends with your fellow members. So where a few of you are looking to sit together - have the first arriving person in your party save some open spots for when dinner is served (put a piece of paper with the person's name possibly). PLUS, While You Enjoy the Gala - Fill your Wine Cellar while you help fund CRA Programs in the New Year There will be TWO lucky winners Friday Night...who will go home with THREE Cases of local vintage worth over $1000.00. Wine lovers may recognize vintners including: Boekenoogen, Chalone Vineyard, Hahn, J. Lohr, J Vineyards, Scheid, and more. Each of our winners will take away the same 3 case mix of red & white wines for their holiday enjoyment!
So, how will this raffle work! No it’s not a card game. Buy one or more playing cards ($50 each) from one or each of the two deck of cards and if your card is drawn, you will go home with three cases of wine - a $1000 value. (picture shows only a few examples) If all of the two card decks are sold, your changes are 1 of 52 (a ton better odds than the lottery) for each drawing.
Your dollars from this raffle will help fund the great programs, events and materials that CRA brings to the community and our members in the year to come. Please bring your checkbook or some cash or credit card for this great cause and chances to win!
