Celebrating 37 Years of Community Service

Wednesday August 21 at 6PM in Carpenter Hall
City is hosting a
"Community Meeting - Exploring Affordable Housing"

At the July City Council by a 5/0 vote, Council agreed to prioritize staff work to amend our Housing Element focusing on replacing the City-owned sites (of Vista Lobos and the north & south lots of Sunset Center) with alternate sites and programs to address the state-mandated affordable housing numbers.

This meeting will highlight this collaborative work underway and is seeking YOUR critical feedback on this early progress that is developing in conjunction with the concerned citizen committee, known as AHA.  AHA  stands for Affordable Housing Alternatives and can be reached directly at [email protected].

Please join us!  This project can change the face of our Village and needs all of your views.  The City will be providing details on participation in person or online in the days ahead, and you can check https://ci.carmel.ca.us/meetings for this notification. Plus our CRA www.carmelresidents.org/housing page will include these datails, all recent meetings and background on our Village Housing Element.

Sunday, September 8th, 3:00-7:00 PM
at the Indian Village in Pebble Beach
On "The Dunes Road"

It's a Western themed Sunday afternoon gathering for y'all, this year. We're lookin' to round you all up to join us at the Indian Village at Pebble Beach for the CRA Annual Feast in the Forest - for some great BBQ grub, beverages and the best darn folks on the planet!

Just like 2023, we again will have a Raffle of great items donated from local businesses. To add to the community fun and BBQ theme - optionally for those with cooking skills - bring a homemade pie to add to our Donation/Raffle table.

To enjoy the early fall sunshine and avoid the nighttime wandering roads of Pebble Beach - we've shifted to an earlier Sunday afternoon gathering.  But just like last year's Feast in the Forest - we'll enjoy the great foods by Chef Tim Wood, of Woody's at the Airport & Woody's at Del Mesa. This event's grub will bring some great BBQ items, corn bread, salads, fruits, veggies and a fitting desert to delight us all. Our great meal will be embellished with donations of harvested and created bounties throughout our region with vegetables from Swank Farms and thoughtfully paired beverages including Folktale Wines.

We always sell out! Reservations are open now!  HERE
