This YEAR's CRA Annual Holiday Gala will be..
Oh, come all ye CRA faithful, and celebrate the Holiday Season with our members and their guests - at La Playa Hotel on Sunday December 8th, 2024 for an early evening of food, wine, and amazing company. Yes it is that time of year, and especially for advanced planning folks we want you to reserve your date. And even consider making your reservations now - our sell out capacity is 120! This year we are planning a new approach at our traditional location in the La Playa's Pacific Banquet Room and Pacific Terrace. We are hosting this Sunday at an earlier hour 4-7 PM, crossing our fingers to catch a great Carmel winter sunset. All for the low per person cost of $75 each. Click to Register to Attend HERE In the Pacific Terrace will be our usual free/included white and red wines. This year we will also have a bartender on the Pacific Terrace where you can order well drinks if you prefer. The Pacific Banquet Room will be set up with multiple large tables, but also with more open space with standing tables to enable mixing about with more members for this early evening. This is commonly called a "Strolling Dinner", check it out. Dining Delights: For the food offerings - there will be passed Hors D'Oeuvres including Crab Cakes, Spring Rolls and Chicken Skewers, and stationary Buffet offering Kale Salad, Risoto and a Tri-Tip Carving Station, plus holiday cookies too. So no need to pre-order dinner options - there is something available for most everyone. Registration & Fee: This great gathering celebration is $75 per person. You need to be a current member to register for this event, your registered guests may or may not be CRA members. Everyone receiving emails directly from CRA are welcome to register. And of course, folks who are not yet CRA Members, as also welcome to join CRA and register to attend our Gala on December 8th and recieve the many benefits of the Carmel Residents Association. Dress Code: We are often asked about the dress recommendations for our evening. Holiday attire is suggested (some sparkles or holiday sweaters maybe) But of course, we do live in a beach town - so most anything goes. Seating Arrangements: Like last year there are no reserved seats. Of course, this is a great gathering to get to learn more about and make new friends with your fellow members. And as noted above, there will be fewer large sitdown tables than in prior years. Details on Your Registration Our registration deadline is November 28th or when we sell out, whatever comes first. If this year matches last year, we will sell out before the deadline, so act soon. We will send out a reminder via email if you've signed up at mid week prior to December 8th. Please complete your registration and credit card payment on the event link shown above. Commonly CRA your user name is your email address. (Your membership dues must be current, too) You can request to reset your password with the link shown on the registration page. If you are having problems using the registration form: Note: To maximize our Membership participation at our Holiday Festivities and increase the affordability, all the while our costs are increasing, your CRA Board has approved to supplement the actual costs for this CRA Holiday gathering.
