This YEAR's CRA Annual Holiday Gala
Oh, come all ye CRA faithful, and celebrate the Holiday Season with our members and their guests - at La Playa Hotel on Sunday December 8th, 2024 for an early evening of food, wine, and amazing company. This year's new approach continues at our traditional location in the La Playa's Pacific Banquet Room and Pacific Terrace. However we are hosting this Sunday at an earlier hour 4-7 PM, crossing our fingers to catch a great Carmel winter sunset. In the Pacific Terrace will be our usual free/included white and red wines. This year we will also have a bartender on the Pacific Terrace where you can order well drinks if you prefer. The Pacific Banquet Room will be set up with multiple large tables (seats 8), many that seat 4, and to provide also more open space, there will be standing tables to enable mixing about with more members for this early evening. This is commonly called a mixed "Strolling Dinner". Like last year there are no reserved seats. Of course, this is a great gathering to get to learn more about and make new friends with your fellow members. Dining Delights: For the food offerings - there will be passed Hors D'Oeuvres including Crab Cakes, Spring Rolls and Chicken Skewers, and stationary Buffet offering Kale Salad, Risoto and a Tri-Tip Carving Station, plus holiday cookies too. So no need to pre-order dinner options - there is something available for most everyone. Dress Code: We are often asked about the dress recommendations for our evening. Holiday attire is suggested (some sparkles or holiday sweaters maybe) But of course, we do live in a beach town - so most anything goes. (...will there be Kilts again??) Plus our huge thanks to the Williams Family and Folktale Winery and Vineyards who've donated wine for our gathering! Registration & Fee: This great gathering celebration is/was $75 per person.
